Fingerprinting Information

Procedures for becoming a member of Central Florida Officials Association (CFOA) and Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA)

All sports officials must comply with the JLA and pass a background check. If you are cleared in one county, you are cleared in all counties. Any new official should see the information below about signing up to be fingerprinted. Other information about becoming a new official can be found on the recruit page.

DIRECTIONS PROVIDED BY VOLUSIA COUNTY SCHOOLS (August 10, 2023):
Go to www.fieldprintflorida.com, click ‘Schedule Appointment’ button. Sign Up or Login. Enter one of the Fieldprint Codes from below: 
Option 1: FPVolusiaVendor  (for fingerprint & badge - $83.25) or
Option 2: FPVolusiaVendorBadge (for a replacement badge only - $10.00)
Enter the contact and demographic information required by the FBI and schedule a fingerprint appointment at the location of your choosing.  You will also need your Volusia County School District Vendor/JLA Code: JLA0000672
At the end of the process, print the Confirmation Page. Take the Confirmation Page with you to your fingerprint appointment, along with two forms identification.
If you have any questions or problems with the Fieldprint website, you may contact the Fieldprint customer service team at 877-614-4364 or customerservice@fieldprint.com.
Once we receive & review the fingerprint results, an email will be sent to the company contact on file with the approval/denial.  The email will also include the link to schedule an appointment to pick up the badge. All Vendors are to provide a copy of their completed I-9 and two valid forms of government ID, as a part of their eligibility for clearance, please bring a copy when picking up the badge (this does not apply if you are self-employed).  The JLA badge process is approximately 2 weeks.
Our department must be notified of any changes, terminations or arrests of any JLA Vendor and badges are to be returned to our office. If you have any questions, please contact our office.
Badges will be picked up at the School Board of Volusia County, 200 N Clara Avenue, DeLand FL 32720

Existing CFOA Officials

Existing CFOA officials should follow the instructions below to see if they need to be re-printed:

  • Log onto www.arbitersports.com, using your email address and password.
  • On the Home page, look over to the right you will see the word “Profile”, click on “Profile”, this will take you to the next screen.
  • Look down the left side for the words “Custom Fields” click on “Custom Fields”, this will display a field labeled “Date Fingerprinted”.
  • If the field is blank you are not listed in the FSSR database and “NEED TO BE FINGERPRINTED”
  • If you see the letters FSSR – that means that you are in the FSSR Database and do not need to do be fingerprinted.
