Tackle Football

Currently there are no active classes for tackle football officials being offered through the CFOA. If you have questions concerning tackle football officials training and education, contact the CFOA VP of Football.

Basketball

2024-2025 CFOA Basketball Training

First Year (Rookie) class dates are set. We will have Classroom and Basic Court Training starting July 15th through October 17th, 2024. Training will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays in the evenings near downtown Orlando (location and time TBA). We will take the first 30 paid new officials with less than two years of experience. Registration begins June 17th and will close July 8th. You must be available for a July 10th meeting as part of the requirements. The registration fee is $60 for the class and must be paid prior to the registration deadline. We will be teaching High School Mechanics and rules.

You must meet the following requirements:
(1) Pay the $60 registration fee before the July 8th deadline.
(2) Be available for a meeting on Wednesday, July 10th, time and location TBD.
(3) Must be fingerprinted per Jessica Lunsford act (any questions contact the CFOA Secretary - Roland Taylor) prior to officiating

Email Carlos Childress to be eligible to register for the class. The first 30 individuals who email Carlos will be given instructions on how to pay your registration fee. This fee is non-refundable!!

I hope you are ready to work and commit the time it will take to learn how to be a High School Basketball Official.

Veterans Classes

Veterans Classes are planned to start the first week of September for anyone with two or more years of service. Vets, if there is a specific topic that you would like for our Education Team to cover, please email Jim Mills or call him at 407-230-2425. Veterans who are interested in the playoffs, please review the updated requirements (below and available as a download).
