2017 Hall of Fame Inductees
I officiated football thru the CFOA for between 15 and 20 years. However my association with this family started many years before. My dad was one of the founders of the CFOA, so as a young boy I began to be part of this wonderful organization. I grew up under the influence of all these good men who cared about sports and kids and were working to make things better. I felt like I had a second dad, that included all of the officials. As a small boy, riding to games in the car with all these men I listened to the stories and tales they told, some true and some exaggerated. Their influence helped make me the man I am today.
As an official, I participated in some important games including several Boone Edgewater games which were the biggest games in Orlando at the time. I also officiated several state playoff games including a class 3A final game. However, I feel that my life with the CFOA was more than the officiating. To me and my family the CFOA was a family affair.
