Mechanics Test

1. After touching the ball, and making a lateral rotation adjustment, the snapper may not remove both hands from the ball.


2. Only A players are required to have their hand(s) on the ground prior to the snap.


3. A shift by any A player that simulates action at the snap is an encroachment violation.



4. If a false start causes B to encroach, only the false start will be penalized.


5. Only one A player can go in motion after all A players come to a set position.


6. After all A players come to a set position, any forward motion by one or more A players will be a false start.


7. If a snap infraction occurs during a down, Team B captain may choose the result of the play if a loss of yardage occurs.


8. Handing the ball forward has all the same requirements and limitations as a pass thrown forward.
